Three great places to launch this coming weekend if you are headed out East. After starting the season out west we have moved our focus to the Eastern basin of Lake Erie.  You can launch in these safe places and still hit the big water. If things kick up on the lake you can run back to the river, lagoon or bay and continue your day on the water, not to mention you can safely load the rig back on the trailer without fighting like on the main lake ramps.

If you like to catch mixed bags of Large and Smallmouth BASS you want to check out Mentor Lagoons or Presque Isle PA. If you want to stop in between the two check out the Bubble between Fairport harbor and Geneva! Drop Shot rigs and Jerk Baits have been our preferred tactics for the smallies and the largemouth are biting texas rigged plastics and drop shot rigs. As the water is warming they are starting to chase lipless crank baits and spinner baits too!

Remember this is the best time of the year to locate and catch BASS in our area. Get out and enjoy the good weather that is finally here! We will be back at Presque next weekend if any of you are up there give us a holler like the Fulks guys and “Nitro Joe” did this weekend. It was nice to see the Giant 6lb ers those guys were putting in the Boats!
